All the little things!

This blog contains all the little changes in life in the last while. We made some to make our life easier and some just for fun!

The mice. The mice have been getting worse not better. We called Orkin to have them come in and do an assessment. We then hired them for 2 months to hopefully cut down on the mice. They gave us some things to fix or change to help keep them out of the house. We will do these. I don't suppose anyone wants two extra children? lol! They are the biggest way the mice are getting in. I mean we knew this, as they have a habit of leaving doors open. Benefit of it being cold is we know quickly if a door got left open. We have a couple previous outlet to stuff beside with steel wool and cap with a cover! Please let this all help!

Garbage. We are super lucky living where we do that we don't pay for the weight of garbage at the transfer site. We don't pay when we go. However, they are only open for a limited time and it isn't always easy to get there. Exhaustion being a constant problem in our lives, also makes it harder to get there. I hate driving the truck and James can't go alone. This has led to us getting a bin! It is a dream! I just walk the garbage across the yard and toss it in the bin! Once a month they will come and pick it up! It was more affordable than we thought it would be.

James update. Well, we are still in the waiting game. Our go bags are fully packed and we have everything set up. Still it is very nerve wracking. We did have a little scare with him ending up in the hospital for a few days right before Christmas. It was just for antibiotics and to find the cause of white blood cell count, so he had leave passes and it was just in Olds. He also needed a blood transfusion as he has been struggling with low hemoglobin for the last while and at same time as all this hit a super low level. Thankfully he was able to come home completely on Christmas eve! He has stones in his gallbladder and one escaped to the liver bile duct, causing the flair. Nothing to do but continue to wait for the new liver. Two bags of blood, some stronger antibiotics and he is doing a bit better then he was. I am looking for someone who can make him a shirt that says:

STOP: I know I look better than I should, please don't say it!

Every doctor who saw him over the 4 days he was in said it.

My gosh, the birthdays! We have a lot of birthdays in December. Chris, James and our son. Then some other family I won't name. Lots of celebrations and dinners. We have only been getting our children experiences, building or games for gifts as they don't like to care for their toys. We ended up getting Our son a cup with 3D printed dragon on it for his birthday though. His grandparents got him money and a trip to the discovery wildlife park lights. James, the lucky duck, got a 3D printer from the best wife in the world. And since he isn't my editor anymore this will be posted before he can change that.

Now the 3D printer may have also been something I like.

My Christmas dragon! I am not done painting it, but since that will take time here is where I am currently.

My rattlesnake! Also not done painting yet, but mostly done. Don't worry James occasionally gets to print things he wants too. Mine are more fun though, he just wants to do storage. eye roll.

Whale Shark!

Axolotl!

Now for Christmas! I am going to mostly post photos and will add comments as I feel inspired.

Decorating time!

New tree and new tree topper! It isn't a weeping angel but we think it is even better!

James' work had a party for the kiddos! Our daughter didn't want a picture with Santa. And I just noticed a theme our son had going with his christmas outfits... Maybe you can spot it as we go. They had tons of fun! We spent over an hour swimming then they had pizza, fruit and veggies!

Santa Claus Parade in Olds! After this there was fireworks! The kids had a blast though the daughter again didn't want her photo taken!

New macrame hobby!

See it? Why do I bother buying Christmas clothing? This is Christmas eve!

Christmas morning!Though apparently we were having too much fun for me to remember to take pictures. So these four are all I have..... It was a great, busy day! My parents and James' parents came for the day(my parents staying for a couple days). Lots of food and fun!

Christmas Lunch!

And that is all caught up until January! I will be back soon with some progress made in the basement! Talk to you all later!
