Basement

I am done! Ok, not really, but it is usable now. I have it set up mostly the way I want it. There is still a lot of organizing to do. I also still have some carpet glue that will need to be scrapped up. Where to begin? Let's start with a refresher!

Refresher:

Here is how it started.

Now this is the messiest this room has been. This side of the wall was my craft area, kids craft area, and play area. This is after several hours of cleaning as well... The other side of the wall was a gym, lego room and storage. We had a bad mouse problem on the other side and due to the lack of light we never wanted to be in there. This obviously didn't help the mouse problem. Around the corner is also the double walk out basement doors. They lead to a covered under deck deck. Does that make sense? Shrugs! I didn't take any pictures of that area as it is a bit of a mess(kid's outside fort).

Wall gone and some of the carpet up!

In progress, and with my broken desk by the basement door... I lied here is a sliver of one door.

TV area with pictures and a mess plus one son.

TV area with all the pictures up and no mess!

Lego and part of my craft area. It is still a little dark, but with the light we have to add should be perfect!

Cleaner craft area! with all my stuff hung on the wall!

Gym! Now I can get my new yoga mats(mice used the others as a nest*vomit*). I also want to get some more weights! See all the glue. It's the gross yellow stuff on the floor.

Kids craft area. I apparently didn't take an updated photo and by now its been three days so likely its a disaster.

After I got all the bins out of the middle of the floor and organized in the spaces that they are used. I needed to sit down and relax for a minute.

I am done except the boring parts now. I will try to remember in 10 years when we finish organizing all the lego to take a picture. It is so much lego. Next project is to finish ripping out the floor in the hallway to the kid's rooms. I would promise pictures of the rest as it is fully done but I won't remember until my kids have made a mess again and it won't happen.

Before I go I got all the chickens fully in the coop tonight! There was only 6 or 7 outside, so at least most of them got smarter. I did have to crawl under the coop in thankfully frozen poop to get the last three chickens, but they are in. Now to keep them in over at least the next week as it starts heading to under -25. I keep telling myself that I should be grateful that the winter has been so nice until now, but really right when I am back at work and need to be outside for supervision? As much as I hate the cold indoor supervision on the really cold days are even worse. I am going to go and pout about how cold it will be tomorrow morning! Talk to you all later!
