Hey! Well there is a lot to report this time! I will also be doing another post later this week about more liver transplant stuff, so watch for that. This one is going to be happy and accomplished though!
Our bedroom!!! This project has been going for quite some time, and....... we are finally done! We still need to find some shelving and get some art work but the big work is all done! Our purchase of a chaise lounge will also be waiting until after the next couple years to make life a little more affordable with James health stuff. All the painting is done! Trim is up and painted and the BEST part is our bed and night stands are back in their usual places!!! Less tripping on dogs on the way to the bathroom at night! Now for the best part, for you guys, the pictures!
I am so happy that it is finished and it was the only thing in the house that needed to be finished! Now we can more on to the next house project in a couple years!
The yard! Once again THANKS to my DAD we got so much yard work done last week! He helped again with whipper snipping the whole yard, pulling weeds, fixing the lawn tractor up so that it works reliably( changed oil, oil filter), bought us new tractor tires and mowed some of the lawn! Seriously, he is the Best dad! I even managed to find the garlic and lilies in the big garden and moved the chickens to a new area! Usually it takes me triple the time to get it done, alone and without his tools. And he came at a great time as James ended up back in the hospital with his third break through infection a few days before he came. Thankfully James went in early and was out of the hospital 4 days later! He gets day passes between infusions but there isn't much we can get done when dealing with it. Now to finish levelling the other box that is built and fill them! Finish more areas of the rock garden and build more boxes. And here are the receipts! Yes, there are a lot of weeds still but we are only pulling around plants and mowing the rest. It takes way less time.
Nan King Cherry bush!
Mowed a lot down as you could not see the flowers at all! I still need to free the peonies but that is this weeks problem!
Pretty lilies and lots of garlic!
Tomatoes are free!! Also can you see those raspberry bushes! They are huge and filling up with berries!!
The rhubarb plant I didn't run over....(the other one is coming back but it is tiny)
Roses and onions!
Ok now on to a flower. This is one of my day lilies that used to be yellow and the flowers have never been this big or come so far above the plant.... anyone know what has happened? Can they cross with other types of lilies? They are beautiful and I am not mad about it, but unsure how it happened.
We also ended up with another visitor. A little kitty that we found a home for and is now happy and safe with her forever family. She was tiny and I was told to either keep calling shelters, care for her ourselves or just let her go and basically get eaten. We chose to care for her and look for her owner. No owner was found and we were looking for a home for her. Our kids became very attached but understood that because of my allergies we couldn't have a house cat and she was definitely not a barn cat. Here is the cuties as we were dropping her off with her new mom!
See that sad look on the baby boy's face.
Ok, I think that is all. I hope you all are having a great summer and I will talk to you later in the week!
