One Week...

OK, technically it is less than a week until the big move. I have gotten a little behind on the updates trying to get stuff packed, the paper work and address changes.

I went to get my address changed on my drivers license today. My goodness our timing was bad; I just renewed it in February. The subscription changes, updating banking, bills, utilities, etc. The amount of things one has to change addresses for is frightening! And the forms and paperwork!!

We went to the lawyers last week to sign the papers for the sale of our current house and the papers to buy the new house, well the final papers anyways. We have also got a lot packed. It is horrifying the amount of things one accumulates over the years. One would think we would learn to hang on to less considering we have both moved at least 4 times. And doing it with kids in tow has been a interesting experience. I thought moving was stressful with just my husband and I; but put two kids in the middle of a pandemic in a house with very little things and lack of space due to boxes... I am very much looking forward to being done with this part of the process.

And just for you all, here is a picture of our basement full of stuff....

Speaking of stuff so much stuff, I think maybe we need a intervention. The table garden has grown. I have been trying water propagation for some of the succulents I bought that you may remember from the previous post and it has been working, which is great but also means we have several new baby plants as well. We now have to move the ones in the water carefully so they don't die. Now, of course that is not a real big problem as they will fit in the same pot as the mom plants... The real problem is our lack of self control in a garden center. We are now the proud plant parents of not only the previous plants( 2 strawberry plants that have become 6, 1 annual flower, 1 bamboo, 4 succulents now with babies and a pepper plant), but 2 honey berry bushes, 2 raspberry bushes, and a red basil plant. So many green things. Did I mention we love green things and are looking forward to the very large garden the new house has

And because I am so happy about my baby plants I am going to add photos of them, plus I have more that will be ready to plant soon!!

Next week, my Dad is coming up to help for a day so we can get a good start on the move. My husbands parents are coming up as well a couple days later to help us as well, plus do some stuff to get ready for them to move here. Plus babysitting!!!! My goodness I am looking forward to some time without the kids when I am not working for the first time in quite a while.

I guess the next update will be after we start the move and have internet set up at the new place. Rural internet is going to be an experience in itself.,.

Wishing you all well and asking you to pray for us and our sanity.
