Something Actually Happened

I know shocking. Here I thought nothing interesting was going to happen this month.

At the end of Jan. I applied for a job in a school. I didn't hear anything for almost three weeks so figured that was that. I was going to start applying for other jobs over Feb. break. Then a couple weeks ago the school called me to set up a interview. Then Tuesday they called back and offered me the job! Luckily for me the children still like me and are quite excited that I will be working at their school (not in their classes). Our son is the most excited, as it is a full time position. Now that probably doesn't make sense to most people. Why would he be excited that I am working full time? Well, because he gets to go to daycare when he isn't in class. Apparently many of the kids at school go to daycare and he has been wanting to go. Of course with a stay at home mom he didn't get to go. The part I love is that I will have holidays off with them and summers too! Now you all will get to enjoy way more gardening stuff since it will be me, the kids, and the garden this summer!

James is away currently at a course for work. I am driving the kids in every day then coming home to get the house work stuff done, adding in getting ready to start work in a couple weeks. After that I have to go back to get the kids from school. I wish I could say I am getting a lot of the house work done, but really I am not. I am really hoping that with the kids and us out of the house every day that the laundry will go down. They are currently changing several times a day. Why do they do that? The kids had the same amount of loads of just clothes that James and I combined plus the towels. Luckily on the weekend before James left the house upstairs got a thorough cleaning! Now to get bathrooms and the play room done. Thankfully he will be home Friday!

James got to eat at a dedicated gluten free restaurant near his hotel last night. He was quite excited and was looking forward to being able to eat almost anything on the menu (also can't have dairy). He was disappointed. He said it wasn't bad but it wasn't really good either. So now he is getting food that can be cooked in a microwave or is fresh from the grocery store for the rest of the days. While he is away the kids and I are eating all the cheesy meals they love, though still gluten free for anything that has to be cooked in our pans.

Oh, I forgot. Last week when we went to Red Deer and picked up the wood we need to make the Chickshaw for housing the chickens. We should also be placing an order of chicks soon. The kids are quite excited about this. James will be starting the build in the next couple weeks so we will have updates and pictures of that as it happens. Plus hopefully going to go pick up paint for our bedroom next week!

Now here are some pictures of the deer herd that lives on the gravel road we go down every day,

This is only about half the herd, some were across the road you see in picture and some on the other side of the road I am stopped on.

Deer Butts

The "what the heck you want" look. Sorry some are blurry I was in the car taking them with my phone.
