Here is a little update...
We now have less than 4 weeks to go before the move! I forgot how crazy it is to move;
considering I have done it several times you would think I would remember vividly. Calling all the companies: phone, internet, security, insurance etc. Then there is the cleaning, patching and painting. So much to get done and the time that seemed to be moving so slow has some how doubled its speed!
Unfortunately one of the calls didn't go as planned, our current house insurance company doesn't have a plan that works for the new place. We now have to find a company that does do agriculture properties :(. This also kind of sucks since my husband gets a group discount with this company. The other calls thankfully went better! Our home phone is set up to be hooked up the day we move, internet will be the same, found a new security company!
Here is hoping as well that covid doesn't make this even harder to move, but I qualify for the vaccine tomorrow and my husband already got his first shot.
On the plus side our daughter is getting more excited about the move. She keeps asking if we can go out to the house and hang out. The kids don't really get that we can't go out whenever they want. None of us can wait to dig into the house and yard work ahead!
We are used to starting the buying of plants and yard stuff about now and the restraint to not buy all the things is hard to maintain. So far we have added 4 new succulents, a annual plant and two strawberry plants(becoming 5 with shoots). I want to buy it all but have to remember we then have to keep them alive until we move and keep them safe on the trip.
Most of our packing is done; just have the last things we can't live without to go. I guess I had better get back to the cleaning so that we can paint one room and patch all the walls.
