Today we spent all day setting up more things in the house and doing yard work. This was a nice change for me, usually I would be at work all weekend. Moving can be so stressful but we all enjoyed the outside work.
Our son mostly climbed the fences in the yard and dug in the part of the garden we reserved for him to play in (in the hopes he would not dig up something we want to grow). Our daughter helped a little then ran around with the dogs or played with her Grandma.
First we finally got the library all set up!!! This makes me so happy. I have really missed my books. Still need to organize the books in a less scattered pattern, get a chair and a rug!!
The garden! Well my goodness that has been a project so far. Got a little over half of it weeded, the poor waiting plants planted and some of the fencing fixed. The tulips from the other day are enjoying being free. Noticed four more that look like they will try to bloom. We can't seem to help ourselves with plants, yesterday my husband and I went to look at Canadian tire for a few things we needed for the house and walked out with more flowers and herbs. We decided to plant some kitchen herbs, annuals and some perennial plants in the garden by the big deck. I think it turned out very well. I really hope the perennials come back.
Apparently I have forgotten to take pictures of the added plants to the main garden, but I did remember to take before pictures of an area we have to clean out to make room for a rock garden and it turns out it is full of raspberry plants, plus others.
With the help of my in-laws we got the rest of our things into the house or out buildings and got a lot of the work done that is difficult with kiddos under foot! The internet is still incredibly bad, thankfully we have so much to do that we don't notice much. Once my husband is back to work in a week it will matter so looking into a different company and hoping that will be better. Now you have been updated, probably more than you wished, and it is time for me to go to bed.
